10/13-10/17

Monday

regulating morality, lecture/notes
Picture
Students took notes on Regulating Morality. Afterwards, students completed the Regulating Morality DBQ (as pictured to the left). It was stamped for full credit. If you have the Presidential Progressivism DBQ from Friday, I will stamp that as well for full credit.

Tuesday

progressive Era study guide
outline for a 5-paragraph essay
progresive era essay directions
Students received their Progressive Era Study guide. The study guide will not be graded, however, anything written on the study guide CAN be used on your Progressive Era DBQ Essay Exam. Students also received an outline for a 5-paragraph essay. That can also be used on the exam. On Thursday, students will be given the prompt and 10 documents to analyze. Students can outline the essay and begin writing it. On Friday, students will finish the essay and turn it in. This is an in-class assignment and it cannot be taken home. If you miss one or both of the days, you will need to make it up by October 24th.

Wednesday

Professional Development Day. No school for students.

Thursday

Students began the Progressive Era DBQ Essay Exam. Students were given the prompt as well as 10 documents to analyze. Students will have the opportunity to outline/write their essay today. They will have all period Friday to write their essay as well. This exam is an in-class exam. If students miss a day, they must make up the essay by 10/24. Failure to do so will result in an automatic zero.

*The only days I can stay after school next week are October 20th, October 21st and October 24th. You can also use Titan Time and lunch on Thursday, October 23rd, to make up the exam (make sure you sign up). Again, if you miss one or both days for the essay, you will need to make up the essay exam on one of those days.

Friday

Students continued to work on their Progressive Era DBQ Essay exam. Yesterday, students received the prompt, outlined their essay and some may have begun writing it. Today, students will write/finish their essays. Students will not be given extra time other than the two days allotted for the essay exam. Again, if you miss one or both days of the essay exam, you MUST make it up by 10/24. Failure to do so will result in an automatic zero.
