Students took notes on 'JFK Foreign Policy' in the right hand side of their notebook. They also completed the Cuban Missile Crisis Worksheet. The worksheet does not need to be stamped, but needs to be completed. Be sure to watch the 'Be Castro, Be Kennedy and Be Khrushchev' videos in order to complete the worksheet.

inside north korea: then and now
After JFK Foreign Policy, students took notes on The Korean War. There were fill-in notes to go with it, however, you still have to have two interactions with your notes to earn full credit. Students then watched Inside North Korea: Then and Now. It is available for free, with minimal ads, on National Geographic. There are no questions to go with the documentary.

Students completed the Korean War Worksheet using the Korean War Textbook Excerpts. This was turned into the sub by the end of the period. 

Thursday/Friday

Vietnam, Pages 584-591

Picture
Students completed Vietnam, Consumable Pages 386-387, using pages 584-591 of the new textbook (the one you do have at home). It was stamped for full credit. Afterwards, students completed a Venn Diagram in the left hand side of their notebook, using the Vietnam Primary Sources. You do not need to answer the questions below each of the Vietnam Primary Sources. The Venn Diagram should look like the picture to the left.

After, students completed, Vietnam, Part 2, fill-in notes. Fill-in notes still need to have two interactions with them in order to earn full credit. You can use the Draft Lottery Link to see if you would have been drafted in 1970 for Vietnam.
