civil rights vocab
Students completed the Civil Rights Vocab in the left hand side of their notebook. It was stamped for full credit. 

Tuesday

origins of civil rights powerpoint
origins of civil rights fill-in notes
Students took notes on the Origins of Civil Rights. There were fill-in notes to go with the PowerPoint. Even though they are fill-in notes, students still need two types of interactions with them to earn full credit. Afterwards, students watched a documentary on Emmett Till. There are no questions to go along with it. Students will continue the documentary tomorrow. 

Wednesday

civil rights poetry slam directions
Students finished the Emmett Till documentary. Afterwards, students were assigned the Civil Rights Poetry Slam. Please read the directions carefully. Any questions, be sure to direct them towards Mr. Marroquin in class or via his email at [email protected]. 

Thursday

Students continued to work on their Civil Rights Poetry Slam. 

Friday

Students continued to work on their Civil Rights Poetry Slam. All poems are due Sunday, May 4th by 11:59pm. No late assignments will be accepted. Notebook Check 7 was turned in via Canvas.
