8/26-8/30

Monday

creating a nation notes
constitution one-pager directions
one pager examples (avid)
Students were assigned their seat for the semester as well as their number for the phone chart. As a reminder, students can put their phones in the chart or plug them in to charge. Afterwards, we went over the new 5-star system and going to the bathroom as well as the doors being locked.

Afterwards, students took notes on 'Creating a Nation' in the right hand side of their notebook. Afterwards, students were assigned the Constitution One-Pager. This is NOT a part of the notebook check. The one-pager will be due on Thursday by the end of class.

Tuesday

Students continued to work on their Constitution One-Pager.

Wednesday

Students continued to work on their Constitution One-Pager.

Thursday

capitals practice
states practice
Students finished and turned in their Constitution One-Pager. Afterwards, tomorrow's states/capitals test was explained to students once again. As a reminder, you will get a word bank of all 50 states and capitals, but they will not match. You will get a blank map that is randomly numbered. You will need to write the correct state and capital next to each number. Yes, this means you will need to know where each state and capital go on the map in order to get full points.

Friday

Students took their States/Capitals test. Students were given the entire period to take their test. If for whatever reason you were absent today, you have until Monday, September 9th to make up the test. Failure to do so will result in an automatic zero on the exam. You must make up the test on your own time (lunch, after school, etc.)
