Monday

Picture
Students participated in a Stock Market Game with the potential to earn extra credit. There is no need to make up the activity if you were absent. All students, regardless of whether they were here for the activity or not, will complete the Stock Market Letter. It is due in Canvas by the end of the day.

Please view the class announcements if you missed Tuesday.

Tuesday

Picture
An example as to what your Phocabulary will look like.

1) Stock Market

2) Bull Market
3) Margin
4) Margin Call
5) Speculation
6) Installment
7) Hooverville
8) Hobo
9) Dust Bowl
10) Public Works
11) Relief

Remember, this will be completed in 3 columns: the word, definition and a picture in color (just like in the image to the left). All of the words, except for Hooverville, will be found in the glossary section of your textbook. This was stamped for full credit.

Wednesday

Students took notes on The Stock Market Crash, Part 1. They will be continued and finished up tomorrow.

Thursday

stock market crash, part 2 notes
great depression graphic organizer
Book pages: great depression, Great depression
Students took notes on The Stock Market Crash, Part 2. They were a continuation from yesterday's notes. Afterwards, students began working on the Great Depression Graphic Organizer.

You
MUST match up the word with the correct definition. THEY ARE NOT IN ORDER. Afterwards, you will put the terms and definition in order as to how the Great Depression happened. Use 'Book Pages: Great Depression, Graphic Organizer' to help you match up the correct word with the definition, as well as how the Great Depression got started (the textbook you have at home will be more difficult).

Friday

great depression worksheet
Students completed the Great Depression Worksheet. It was stamped for full credit. Students were reminded that any and all late work is due by Friday, December 8th (a week from today). All work, including Notebook Check 8, must be turned in by next Friday, at the end of the day, into Canvas. Failure to do so will result in an automatic zero on any missing assignments, including Notebook Check 8.
