Monday
Students were given some class announcements and a few review questions of the Cold War. Students then participated in an extra credit activity. There is no need to make up the activity if you were absent.
Students then answered the McCarthy Questions in the left hand side of their notebook. There is no need to write down the questions, but your responses should be in complete sentences. This will not be stamped, but should be completed. |
Tuesday
Students took notes on the Second Red Scare Fill-in notes, part 1. Even though they are fill-in notes, you still need two interactions. After, students began to work on the McCarythism DBQ in the left hand side of their notebook. Please read the directions and follow along carefully. The DBQ was a class set. Students will have time to finish the DBQ in class tomorrow. It will be stamped for full credit.

Wednesday
Students finished the McCarythism DBQ. It was stamped for full credit. Afterwards, students took notes on the Second Red Scare, part 2. There were fill-in notes to go with the lecture. Even though there are fill-in notes, you still need two types of interactions in order to earn full credit.

Thursday/Friday
Students took notes on 1950s culture in the right hand side of their notebook. Afterwards, students watched an epsiode of I Love Lucy, specifically "Job Switching." There were no questions to go with the episode. It is available on Paramount Plus to view.
Students then watched "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes", the first episode of Mad Men to get a sense of what 1950s culture was like. There are no questions to go along with the episode. It is available with ads to view on Amazon Prime. Students got their Atomic Bomb Essay's back. Students were also directed to the Cold War Study Guide for next week's test. Although I am not printing it, students are encouraged to complete it. |
