3/6-3/10

Picture
As a reminder, block schedule starts today and will continue through March 24th. Monday/Thursday will be odd days, Tuesday/Friday will be even days and Wednesdays will be normal late start/periods 1-6.

Monday/Tuesday

origins of the cold war lecture/notes
cold war packet
cold war answer sheet
cold war map
cold war map, page 635
Students participated in a simulation to demonstrate the differences between socialism, communism and capitalism. Afterwards, students took notes on the 'Origins of the Cold War' in the right hand side of their notebook.

Students were then assigned the Cold War Packet and the Cold War Map. Students will use the Cold War Packet to fill in the Cold War Answer Sheet. For the Cold War Map, students will need to fill in the map, as is, using page 635 of the old textbook. Students had the period to work on both assignments, but may have only finished one. I suggested working on the Cold War Answer Sheet first and then moving on to the map, however, the choice is yours. Both assignments will need to be stamped for full credit.

Wednesday

cold war heats up lecture/notes
Students took notes on the Cold War Heats Up in the right hand side of their notebook.

Thursday/Friday

Weaponization of nuclear technology, part 1 lecture/notes
weaponization of nuclear technology, part 2 lecture/notes
weaponization of nuclear technology, part 3 lecture/notes
nuclear survivors activity
Students took notes on the Weaponization of Nuclear Technology in the right hand side of their notebook. Although the lecture is broken into 3 parts, students completed all 3 parts.

Afterwards, students completed the Nuclear Survivors Activity in groups. If you are absent, you will be completing this by yourself. Students then presented who they would save and who they would get rid of.

After, students watched "The Shelter" from The Twilight Zone. There are no notes to go with it.
