5/11-5/15

Monday

The Suspicious Assassination of JFK (buzzfeed unsolved)
As we head into the 1960s, one of the most iconic events of the era is the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. There are many conspiracy theories around JFK's death and many do not believe the official ruling that Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK on his own. I recommend you watch BuzzFeed Unsolved as they go through the governments official ruling on what happened to JFK as well as the many different conspiracy theories surrounding his death. I will warn you, there is adult language used throughout the video, so if it's an issue for you, please refrain from watching.

Tuesday

The Great Society Lecture
Please look at or listen to The Great Society lecture. This will give you context about Lyndon B. Johnson's presidency, who became president after the assassination of JFK.

Please follow the directions carefully for the Warren Court PowerPoint. This is your assignment for this week. You must analyze all 12 cases. You can, if you choose to, work on this with one other person from any of my classes (max of 2). Whoever emails me the PowerPoint, be sure to include a title slide with both your names, so I know who to give points to. This needs to be emailed to me by Saturday at 11:59 p.m.
