Each student received a Marking the Text/SOAP method bookmark. Please see me if you did not receive one. Follow the directions of the 'How to Complete an Interactive Notebook PPT' to complete the assignments.

Tuesday
|
Students filled out all the states and capitals of the United States of America. Stamped by the end of the period for full credit. Map should be in various colors for full credit. Students will take a test on all the states and capitals on Thursday, September 2nd. Students will be given a blank map and a word bank of all the states and capitals. Must know where each state and capital go on the map in order to receive full points for the test.

Wednesday
|
Students were given about 20 minutes to finish their map. Maps were stamped for full credit. Afterwards, students took notes on "Who Really Discovered America?" in the right side of their notebook.

Thursday
|
Students worked on the Coming to America DBQ using the SOAP method. Students will have all period to work on the DBQ and get it stamped for full credit.

Friday
|
Students received instructions for the Colonial Brochure and were assigned their region. Please make sure to check what region you are assigned to before starting the brochure. Even though multiple students have the same region, this is an individual assignment. The Brochure will be due at the end of the period on Wednesday, September 1st.
