Monday
Students will complete Phocabulary: Imperialism on the following terms:
1) Imperialism 2) Protectorate 3) Anglo-Saxonism (will need to look this one up on the internet) 4) Yellow Journalism 5) Jingosim 6) Sphere of Influence 7) Open Door Policy 8) Dollar Diplomacy All words (except Anglo-Saxonism) can be found in the glossary of your textbook. Remember, this will be completed in 3 columns: the word, definition and a picture in color (just like in the image to the left). This MUST be done by hand, NOT on the computer. Submit to Canvas when completed |
Tuesday
Student's will listen to the American Imperialism Lecture, take notes, interact with them and submit them into Canvas for credit.

Wednesday
Students worked on the White Man's Burden Graphic Organizer by using the White Man's Burden Political Cartoons to fill in the organizer. The organizer will be submitted to Canvas for credit.

Thursday
Students will listen to the Trouble in Cuba lecture. There are fill in notes for students to use, however, if you do use them, you do have to have to types of interactions to go with them. They are already set up Cornell Style, so feel free to type directly into the word document or use the PDF version. Students will submit to Canvas when complete.

Friday
Students worked on the Spanish American War Readings and filled in the Graphic Organizer to go with it. Students will also have Monday to work on this in class. The graphic organizer will be submitted to Canvas for credit on Monday.
