Monday
Students presented their vision boards to the class.
Tuesday
The teacher gave out a copy of the syllabus and went over it with students. Please bring back a signed copy of your syllabus by Monday, August 23rd. Afterwards, students were given a Summer Quiz to see what news stories they kept up with over the summer. The quiz was for fun and not worth points. Students do not need to make it up.

Wednesday
Students will begin to read and take notes on the different people/groups who believe they deserve the credit for the discovery of America. Click the tab to the left for the directions as well as the groups/people you will be reading up on. This portion will be done individually. Your notes likely won't be more than 2-3 bullet points per section. When finished, students will form groups of 4. In that group of 4, students will decide who they believe deserves credit for the discovery of America and why.
