The Great Society/Vietnam War

May 15-17

On Wednesday, May 15th, students completed Phocabulary, page 800 #1-10 in the left hand side of their notebook. It will be stamped on Thursday, May 16th for full credit. 

Warren Court directions/groups
On Thursday, May 16th, students were put into groups to present a court case to the class. If a student was not present, they will not be docked points. Students will have 20 minutes in class on Friday, May 17th to work on their poster before presenting.

On Friday, May 17th, students had 20 minutes to finish their court case posters. After, students presented their posters to the class while other students filled in the graphic organizers about the court cases. Students will also need to fill in their own court case on the graphic organizer. If a student missed the presentations or were not present to present, they will not be docked points. Simply fill out the graphic organizer with the pictures of the posters presented. 

May 20-24

Great Society Graphic Organizer
On Monday, May 20th, students took notes on the Great Society. Students will also need to complete the Bell Ringer in the left hand side of their notebook. Afterwards, students annotated the Great Society Packet and filled in the graphic organizer. The Graphic Organizer will be stamped for full credit on Tuesday, May 21st. 

On Tuesday, May 21st, students had their Warren Court Graphic Organizers and Great Society Organizer stamped. Afterwards, students watched a JFK conspiracy theories video. There was no reflective activity to go with it. 

Vietnam War PPT
On Wednesday, May 22, students started notes on the Vietnam War (slides 1-9) in the right hand side of their notebook. Notes will be finished up on Friday, May 24th. Afterwards, students worked on their Vietnam War Graphic Organizer. Students were also assigned the Vietnam War Oral History that will be due on the day of their final.

On Thursday, May 23, students continued on with the Vietnam War notes (finish slides in the above ppt). Afterwards, students worked on the Vietnam Graphic Organizer. Notebook Check 9 will be due on Friday, May 24th. 

On Friday, May 24th, students finished the Vietnam War notes (PowerPoint above). After students worked on and turned in their notebook check. 

May 28-31

Anti Vietnam War Music
On Tuesday, May 28th, students listened to Anti Vietnam War Music. After, students are to create their own music (directions below).
